The buzzards have been out and about at the farm and one landed on the nearby pylon!….. oh to have a long lens for the camera

The small pickle has been poorly on and off for the last month and a half, as well as teething…..

He had a ear infection, requiring antibiotics, then was riddles with chicken pox….. then a cold…..

But he soon recovered and resumed normal service now of climbing everything!!

006

He has been enjoying “helping” daddy in the garden….

017

We had a trip over to Tredegar House park with Grandma and Grandpa, where he learnt a new word….. “again”

Somewhere in between all of this I have managed to find time to be full time in work, for the last few weeks of term, getting my resources packed up in my classroom, have two leaving dos (one afternoon tea with my team, one curry night) and I have still found a little time for crafting, yarn winding, pattern writing…… so hopefully now over the next few weeks there will be some exciting new things appearing in my shops on Etsy,  Ravelry and Loveknitting.

I hope to podcast now in the next few days….. so until then!!!

Happy New Year and some finished knits!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Towards the end of last as usual I wasn’t able to post any of my finished knits because they were all Christmas presents!!! Now I forgot to photograph them so I’m getting photos of some of them sent hopefully on/by the giftee!!!

There are a few more projects to get images for (hint hint small sister!! Lol)

This year I am more determined than ever to be a bit more organised especially with young sir around!!! I am going an my projects and bag them all up ready from stash as far as I can…… There may be a bit of cold sheeting this year…….. So not so many acquisitions……

I am also determined to go through and finish all my many many WIPS!!!

I am hopefully going to try my hand at a Wee bit of podcasting which will probably end up being monthly at least for the first half of the year….

And this is hopefully the year we make the move to the farm!!!!

To finish off this update….. Another end of last year knit is Chreky Chops’ hat!! Which he already needs another new one of!! He is growing sooooooo fast!!!!!! 9 months old on the 14th!!!

Last weekend…..

….. We went to see a lady about alpacas, the animals, the upkeep, the costs etc etc

We met some amazing beasts and their babies!!! William was enthralled!!! And one of the alpacas Seraphima was utterly enamoured with James and kept trying to kiss him!!! She was however a little perplexed by William attached to my front in his sling!!!

And a gratuitous shot of cheeky chops and a rare one of me for you guys!!

Things are moving along well at the holding so much so that I thought I shoud get a wriggle on and start thinking about making the curtains especially since cheeky chops needs most of my attention these days!!

The amazing reason for my absence!

Well for those of you that don’t follow me on any other social media, here is the little reason for my absence from blogging for the last two months!!

William was born way back in April….. 10 days late, after I had had to stay in hospital being induced for four days!!!! Upon our arrival at hospital he turned…. Having previously been in perfect position for delivery he swivelled back to back and then decided to come out face first, oh yes and he poohed before he “left the building” so he was born with green hair!!!!

He is gradually getting the hang of sleeping… he most definitely has the hang of feeding having gained 3 pounds in six weeks…. He has started water babies swimming…. He has met family members…. He has visited the farm a lot….. He loves his music, particularly Ed Sheeran and has basically rocked his Dad’s and my world in so many amazing ways!!!

It’s tough on times, even harder initially when you feel like crap, have stitches on stitches or so it feels like because you can’t sit straight, and you are leaking left right and centre.  Sleep deprivation is a b***h, purple lansinoh cream is a life saver when it feels like he is using broken glass to hack off my nipples, colic is hideous, but ameliorated by an elevated Moses basket/gripe water/carbo veg and Colitwinkles!!! (The last two being homeopathic remedies)

BUT those smiles!!!!!

That little tigger like hoo hoo hoo laugh…..

The fact I’ve managed to breastfeed!!!!

The hilarious comedy huge burps and nappy rumbling farts!!!!

That baby smell!!!!!

Makes everything worthwhile!!
