Farm renovation updates!!!

We have bedroom curtains!!! I made them!!!! With a lot of cutting out help from my lovely neighbour, without whom they would not be so well pattern matched!!! They need hemming but I’ve put them up to drop first!! Love them!!!!

I have cut out the fabric for the hall curtains!!! Pattern matched now I know how/that I need to/what that means!! Lol excuse the wobbly photo rushing again!!! But my hallway is the perfect width to cut out from a bolt of fabric!!!

Downstairs big changes!!!! It’s practically decorated and we have a home emerging from the building site!!!

It’s all coming together!!!

Soon we will be onto fixtures fittings and finishing off the bathrooms upstairs and more doors and handles!!!!

It’s slowly becoming a home!!!

Last weekend Mum and Dad hired a van loaded up the bed frame Dad made from the old barn beams, a chair mum had recovered and some other bits and headed down to Wales!!!! We then loaded an absolute heap of furnishings at our current home, before heading on down to West Wales!!! The weekend was spent sorting, building unpacking loading cleaning and generally starting to build a home!!!

Saturday morning was a very frosty start!!

But Dad and James worked hard Friday night and got our new bed built!!! Dad has performed an amazing feat planing sanding polishing etc and making a wonderful bed frame from the old roofing beams from the barn!

Cheeky chops for scale!!!

We have clothes storage!!!

William enjoyed playing on the carpet and started off on the blue cushion!!!

Grandma and I got his mural done!!!! I love it but I’m fairly sure that I’ll find the wall stickers on the floor when we are next there so I’m going armed with extra sticky stuff!!

The chair mum rescued and had reupholstered!!!! It’s amazing the transformation and soooo comfy!!

Williams room is taking shape with the sofa bed now a sofa again and a desk and drawers in there

Paint splats on the tiles were carefully removed before furniture put in the kitchen!!!! Te he!!!! Bottoms up!!!

We officially have a spare room!!! One chair bed and a double with some old tables as temporary sidetables!!

We are so fancy now even our bathrooms have doors!!!!

And our kitchen is finally becoming a kitchen!!!

With a kitchen door and all!! Still lots to do and clear up but…. It’s starting to resemble a home. We have come such a long way from the shell we started with!!!

Interior design

Lampshades…. Painting…. Carpentry and other bits!!!

Well we are motoring on with the house decorating!! Upstairs is ready for the carpeting (which we have booked in now for very soon in September!!!!)

James and his Dad have been finishing off the staircase ready for the carpet fitting!

James and I’ve oiled the staircase oak!

Downstairs the two newly minted carpenters (James and his Dad) have fitted all the skirtings and have blocked up holes in the downstairs loo round the pipe work!

We’ve been to IKEA for a few things….

We’ve taken delivery of a washing machine!!!

And little Sir has a walker to play in and eventually zoom round the tiled floor!!
