More weed wars!!
Last weekend we went back to the farm to make sure things were ok ready for work to start on the 16th!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!!! I went out with hedge cutters, the strimmer and more weed death spray!!!! A bit more is cleared! Slowly but surely….. We are getting there….

A walk over the valley
After losing Polly neither James nor I could face working and weed wars so we decided to explore the locale and walked up to the chapel in the opposite valley!!!

Mucky puppy!
Our little mucky puppy can’t seem to manage to keep clean in any way shape or form…. Mainly there are sticky buds….. And then this weekend she randomly turned orange… We might have to designate a trough just for dunking Sookie!!

A difficult post……
Last week we lost our beautiful Polly dog…… After 15 amazing years she had one final weekend racing about the farm and she came home and suffered a small stroke… Then a few days later another more significant one…. And we had to take her to the emergency vets at four am Friday morning…. Later…

Site meeting!!!
Last Wednesday we had our first site meet on the farm!!! I drove down with the dogs and and big apple cake (recipe over at my Elliefants Delight blog under recipes) and a six o’clock builders, electricians, plumbers all began to arrive!!! But people…… The best news is…… Work starts proper in about two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

Another weekend at the farm!
Last weekend we went to the farm with my Mum and Dad, so naturally we got a few jobs done!! Mum and I did some extreme sloe picking, meaning the hedgerow needed cutting back from the gate a smidge and we could reach some of the really good sloes so…. Stihl motor plus extendy chain…

The beacons are lit!!!
We piled up the excess bits from the tree tidying we did behind the bank….. Well we have been piling for weeks…. Finally this weekend the weather was right…. A couple of hours dry in the morning and rain moving in to out the fires when needed… So a couple of hours before the rain…

During our fortnight at the farm weed wars continued!!! Having gotten a handle on the nettles with cutting and spraying and the brambles too…. I moved onto GIANT HOGWEED!!!!!
