About Us

Us…. …. just before we got married…..

we have spent the last three years, having this little monkey…..

and building our home…… as well as working on the land….

And having this little monkey….

The blog etc chronicles our journey towards what we hope will be self sufficiency and the development of our rural businesses, as well as a few day trips and crafty occurrences!!

  1. Hi Ellie,
I can see why you both fell in love with this place….the woodlands are magical!
A lot of hard work I’m sure, but will be worth it!
Good luck with all the renovations. Love Kirsty x x x

  2. Been enjoying the photos and the progress, my husband and I are currently in the process of reclaiming 14 acres and a farm house from 30 years of neglect. So your posts always feel relevant to me.

    • Thank you! And I am glad we are not the only crazy loons dealing with 30 years of neglect!! I found two more dead gates and a few tyres lodged in another hedgerow section I cleared today!!! Ahh well more fodder for the tyre wall!!
