I managed to finish Dad’s Christmas socks out of the yarn, which turned out not to be too thin!! Yay!!
And I have cast on James’ birthday socks in a Regia 4-fadig sock yarn which is knitting up very differently to how it looks in the ball but I love it!!!
Hopefully I have enough left from all the man sock knitting to make a little boy some socks too!!!
I finished them and managed a half decent job of the lettering before the Christmas deadlines!!!
Plus they all fit!!! Phew!!!!
And the little wands I made my niece and nephew went down well it seems too!!!!
I have managed to finally sort, get tech edited, re-sort, re-knit, re-photograph, gauge swatch etc etc!!!!! A load of hat patterns!!!!! Need to do a final go through and resend to the wonderful tech editor….. but here are some teasers!!!
Sooooo early in the New Year there will be a raft of pattern ready for release into the wild and I shall be looking for test knitters!!!!
So if the teasers pique your interest and you would like to be one of my test knitters for the hat patterns head over to the Ravelry group early in the New Year for a chance to sign up for a test knit spot and free copies of the patterns!!!
All are quick and easy knits!!!!
Our lovely neighbour came up to visit on Sunday and brought up some photos of our barn that the previous owner took before any renovations started!!!
It takes your breathe away how derelict it was!!!!
Makes a heck of a difference to when we bought it as a shell….
And to now….
A finished home!!
We’ve been in the throes of Christmas baking here getting cake baked and frozen for when we have visitors,
and now mince pies
and so the wild birds don’t feel forgotten we have made them some seed decorations
for a tree near the patio doors so we can watch them from the lounge!
These pictures portray a lovely sense of domestic bliss!!! Ha ha!!! What they fail to show you is the flour covered spaniel, the flour covered floor, the cake mix in Sir’s ear and up his nostril!! The fact that whilst making jumbly cakes he got hold of and ate a sugar cube!!! All totally fab though….. and I’m totally thankful he didn’t try to eat the bird seed!!! Apart from the dog that shook and sent a cloud of flour over the kitchen!! Oh poo I’ll have to dust!!!
I have finished the sketch journal for last month!!
Lots of things done and loads more to do!!!
But for now we are feeling a little festive!!!
To the point I may start the mince pie a thon this week, make some jumbly cakes and even another round of the chocolate caramel crackers!!
Plus I have been skeining up some more alpaca!!
Look at the lustre!! Such a gorgeous soft yarn!!! Hopefully it will be available some time this week on Etsy!!
