We’re going on a stash hunt…..

Ok so after the inspiration from Zoe from Pinsandneedles I’ve traveled through my stash…..

On the day I had a helper….

I’ve bagged it all into potential projects…. Lots of the yarn though was bought for projects for me which have as usual languished……like this beautiful Sweet Georgia DK which is for a top for me…. No pattern as yet…. I think I was going to make one up

We have a few potential hats….

A sweater for William….

Some more hats….

A Baable for me….

A hat and some socks for James….

Heaps of socks for me and a Sockhead hat!, William will of course get socks from the spares!!!

A shawl for me…

And heaps more some already with patterns, some mitts, some more hats, a closer look at some gorgeous skeins…. Phew it’s gonna be a busy year!!!

Some of the stash I have chosen to ignore for now…..

Then my helper wandered off…

So I didn’t manage to start the fabric…..

The long time coming shop reopening!!!

This Friday I will be reopening the shop with the yarns and patterns!!!!

I have done a yarny stock take…..

I have revamped my patterns…..

And have decided that Cheeky is 9 months!!!!! So it MUST be reopened come hell or high water!!!

So Friday!!!!!! Friday the 20th of January!!!!!

Head over to Tyddyn Bryn on Etsy

And use the discount code 9monthsalready for 15% off until Friday 27th January

Then over the coming weeks I will be adding to the other shop sections…..

Here is a sneaky peek at one of those sections

26 books

Aka one book for reed two weeks of this year!!! Sooo before Cheeky was born I read a bit of a book every night without fail…. Since he was born I have not picked a book up….. So now that he is starting to sleep some more in his own cot not the cosleeper…. I’m going to try this challenge!!

Here are some of the books that have made my potential list this year!!

Some are in print some are on kindle!!! Admittedly some I’ve started previously and all bar Game of Thrones will be restarted, I’m on about book five of seven there…

I also have two Tara Swiger books to read, map your business and market yourself….

So far I have read The start up guide….To completion! So that could fall under female Author or book to improve an area of my life….

I’ve started to read Duane Elgins Voluntary Simplicity… So let’s see how I manage!! Baby… That thinks sleep is for the weak….. Returning to work… Sorting the smallholding… I think I can manage  a book every two weeks!!!

Farm renovation updates!!!

We have bedroom curtains!!! I made them!!!! With a lot of cutting out help from my lovely neighbour, without whom they would not be so well pattern matched!!! They need hemming but I’ve put them up to drop first!! Love them!!!!

I have cut out the fabric for the hall curtains!!! Pattern matched now I know how/that I need to/what that means!! Lol excuse the wobbly photo rushing again!!! But my hallway is the perfect width to cut out from a bolt of fabric!!!

Downstairs big changes!!!! It’s practically decorated and we have a home emerging from the building site!!!

It’s all coming together!!!

Soon we will be onto fixtures fittings and finishing off the bathrooms upstairs and more doors and handles!!!!

Happy New Year and some finished knits!!

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Towards the end of last as usual I wasn’t able to post any of my finished knits because they were all Christmas presents!!! Now I forgot to photograph them so I’m getting photos of some of them sent hopefully on/by the giftee!!!

Soooo….

We have two Sockhead hats!!!! A great easy knit by Kelly McClure on Ravelry!!

Modelled by the very lovely Owl About Yarn and Pinsandneedles at our little pre Christmas meet up to exchange presents!! Cheeky chops is enjoying opening his first gifts sat on Zoe!! Zoe’s hat is knit up in Rainbow Heirloom and Jennie’s is in hedgehog fibres!!! I have another skein of hedgehog fibres I acquired on the 2016 Great London Yarn Crawl to knit myself a Sockhead soon!!

I sooooo want me one of these!!! I have the yarns in stash and will knit one this year!!!! And probably one for cheeky too!!

These are knit up from a crazy zauberball I bought in Loop in London!! I am still working on poor James’ Christmas socks also in a crazy zauberball!!

There are a few more projects to get images for (hint hint small sister!! Lol)

This year I am more determined than ever to be a bit more organised especially with young sir around!!! I am going an my projects and bag them all up ready from stash as far as I can…… There may be a bit of cold sheeting this year…….. So not so many acquisitions……

I am also determined to go through and finish all my many many WIPS!!!

I am hopefully going to try my hand at a Wee bit of podcasting which will probably end up being monthly at least for the first half of the year….

And this is hopefully the year we make the move to the farm!!!!

To finish off this update….. Another end of last year knit is Chreky Chops’ hat!! Which he already needs another new one of!! He is growing sooooooo fast!!!!!! 9 months old on the 14th!!!
